What We’re Known For
The Colander Special
“The Colander Special” – the “Tradition” – was a staple meal served in boarding houses when working Italian immigrants first moved to Canada and settled in Trail.
This same menu also became the main banquet dinner served at the various Italian lodges in Trail as weddings and social functions were celebrated. The “family style” service and the food that makes up “the Special” is truly a historical part of our city.
Served with, freshly made salad, locally made buns, all you can eat spaghetti and 2 meatballs, 2 pieces of daily made chicken and jojo potatoes, our “tradition” meal and a spectacular deal.
